I'm Sara, a bookseller, marketing person,
book enthusiast and writer
My adventure in bookselling started with an internship at Foyles Bookshop in 2017. This allowed me to progress my career in the direction of the book industry, and since then, I've explored its whereabouts, from being a bookshop mouse to walking the busy grounds of publishing houses. I even dipped my toe into the vast antiquarian book trade!
All of these jobs made me fall in love with books more and more, and I'm passionate about bringing this reality to the world. I love talking to authors and getting to know them as writers and humans.
I'm motivated and intrigued by voices that dare to bring to the table freshness and a view of the world from a different viewpoint. I love Asian literature, from fiction to non-fiction, and translated works coming from all over the world, France and Italy in particular - plus, all the esoteric subjects you can think of.
I was very lucky to witness the growth and success of many authors, thanks to my direct involvement with them in my current bookshop.
The role of bookseller and marketer is not just that of selling books: we are the quiet foundation behind every creator.
